This practical workshop will explore self identity and its impact on how people view us. Focussing on both personal and social identity, each participant will develop their self-awareness and produce an identity map and a digital identity drawing. Participants will use iPads to produce digital drawings, an easy introductory way to engage in artistic practice.
Lata Upadhyaya is an Essex based artist that places identity at the centre of her work. The workshops will contribute to a new commission that Lata is working on 'Identity of a White Van'. Taking a symbolic Essex white van and using it as a blank canvas to represent the diverse communities that call Essex home.
